Mahjabeen is the Head of FX Research at ANZ. Her team is responsible for forecasting the outlook for the major global economies and FX markets. In particular, the team’s area of focus is on major macro trends evolving offshore and their impact on core markets in Australasia. Mahjabeen has close to twenty years of work experience in global markets, having previously worked at Citibank, prior to joining ANZ. Her earlier experiences include working at Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Chartered Bank, based in Asia, with a focus on FX and bond markets. Mahjabeen has a strong local and international media profile, with regular appearances on Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, and ABC. She was awarded the Most Influential Asian Australian in the corporate category in 2022. She holds a Bachelors degree from London School of Economics and a Masters degree from University of Exeter, UK. She is also a holder of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charter and has completed a CFA in ESG Investing.
