Aus job ads post ninth straight gain

The job market in Australia improved for the ninth consecutive month in February according to ANZ research, in more positive news for labour demand.

According to the ANZ job advertisements series, demand rose 0.9 per cent in February, and now sits 10 per cent higher than the same period last year.

ANZ senior economist Felicity Emmett said the data suggests new labour demand is rising in Australia at a moderate pace.

“It’s not going gangbusters, but it is rising,” she said.

Emmett said demand varied across the country, with New South Wales a standout among the states. Watch the video above to find out more.
