Once a simple time killer, video games have become a competitive and growing industry, hosting international tournaments and raking in billions of dollars across the globe.

Research has revealed more than nine out of 10 Australian and New Zealand households have video games - and not just on the computer. 

Games have become more favourable to pass the time for today’s youth than listening to music, reading books or even social media.

While it’s not surprising children like to play games, it is astounding to find adults prefer playing games than reading newspapers or magazines.
